Well, so we have a diagnosis....

Recommended Posts

I havent been on in a while, but i wanted everyone to know that we finally did get a diagnosis for PANDAS and we meet with a dr in Fort Worth on June 28th to discuss treatment. So, if they can't get us treated I will be calling one of the drs yall have used on here.

what dr. are you using from Texas???? We live near Beaumont, TX which is 90 miles east of houston, tx. I wonder why Texas has a high incidence rate of PANDAS??? I actually have 2 boys that show signs of PANDAS.

I'm in north Texas in a town called Mansfield kind of south of Dallas & Fort Worth. I wouldn't recommend the neurologist that I'm currently seeing but this is a list of the doctors I know of that deal with P.A.N.D.A.S.

Oh. There is a Fort Worth in Texas too, & we have a lot of P.A.N.D.A.S. cases. I was going to send you a list of doctors, but it turns out you're not around here.

It is in Texas

Oh, my bad. I feel really dumb now, haha. Who are you going to see??

I've never seen Dr. Murphey but Cook's Children's is where I've gone for five years now for P.A.N.D.A.S. & for years before that for other things. It's a great hospital. I hope it goes well! <3

Just a quick note on the doctors. Dr. Goebel was the pediatrician used in our news story here. He can diagnose PANDAS but so far is not on board for treating with long term antibiotics. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend him for long term treatment.

Keep us posted ! I am from Dallas(Plano) and there are quite a few of us on here from the area. I don't know anyone who sees the Doctors in FW- I use doctors on the list that the others have given you. We are still going to consult with Dr K to have a PANDAS expert on the team- it would be great to have one here in Texas- maybe enough of us will inspire someone to pick it up as a specialty!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I am in Spring TX, with 3 boys too! Would like to form a support group in this area. Please let me know if you'd be interested in joining! I will be working with our new dr who diagnosed PANDAS - hopefully she will become an expert! Apparently we need it in the Houston area (amongst others!!).
