HI All,

Anyone with a son or daughter or even an adult with ts your advice is welcome.

I have noticed that my son's normal vocal tics turn into an eye squeezing tic while he is driving. This has really scared me. I'm not sure if he is just changing it because he is driving with someone in the car or if he himself does not like to hear his noises while driving.

Anyone have different tics pop up while driving?

Thanks,

CP

I have noticed my husband do some tics that I only see while he is driving. I dont think he is changing it himself, but it just changes while driving.

Obviously, I have no experience with this but I wanted to come on and say, "OH my gosh, he's driving????" How did that happen?

BTW: we are probably coming out in September and we'd love to have you guys out to my mom's farm. I'll let you know the dates as we get closer!

My husbands tics increase while driving too. He has told me that the sensitivity to Light (even with sunglasses on) effects him along with the vibration of the car. He has always said his senses are hightened because of TS which effects tics.

Thank you all,

Look forward to the visit, Bonnie.

Thanks for the PM, Faith, I wish I had read about not bring attention to it before I asked him if he noticed a new tic while driving, because now he is looking off to the side too. I hope you are right and this passes with more time behind the wheel.

My husband does not do any tics while driving and I thought my son would be like yours, Chemar, focused so much he would not do any tics.

Thanks to you all for your reply.

i tic very badly while driving, but my tics switch over to more like OCD where i always have to look at my rear view mirror or look at my door handles or i end up with a leg tic. basically they change and they worsen alot. It really makes driving un comfortable and i find my self avoiding driving alot because of it.
