CarolynN Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Hello, I am wondering if anyone has had experience with how anethesia effects tics. Daniel needs 5 baby teeth removed and the dentist is highly recommending putting him under. They also want to give him a medicine to help him relax, prior to getting the IV, called "Oral Versed". I am concerned with his body not being able to process chemicals well how this will effect his tics. Does anyone have any experience with this? Carolyn N.
Chemar Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Carolyn, my son had anaesthesia for his colonoscopy altho it left him feeling ick, as anaesthetic usually does for most people, he didnt have overly high tic waxing afterward...and he is mega sensitive to all the chemical stuff! He did tic a bit more...but it wasnt extreme and waned fast. the grogginess lasted a while tho
CarolynN Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 Thank you so much. That was really useful for me and has made me feel a lot better about doing it. Carolyn

If you can't get a hold of her I can drive over to her house! Just kidding, Carolyn! That should work for you, Andrea.
