mjk500 Posted October 6, 2008 Report Share Posted October 6, 2008 Browsing through the posts seems to indicate success in eradicating "internalization" of strep with a "cocktail" of antibiotics (sometimes coupled with the removal of tonsils). Can anybody confirm this approach? My son has had at least three repeating bouts of strep with PANDAS symptoms. Amoxicillin was prescribed the first two times, and the last time Cefdinir (4 weeks ago). But his symptoms seem to be coming back. I am wondering if a cocktail of Azithromycin and another like Cephalexin has worked. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think my son being on azithromycin for a month is what really started his improvement. I am not sure if I will put him on again, I'm going to see the Dr in 2 weeks and will see...
