what will help anxiety and excitement tics

Hi all,

I have an appt with an environmental specialist to see what her body is lacking in terms of nutrition/vitamins. Also, we are going to do a blood test to determine food sensitivities and we are going to make the necessary dietary changes. But what can help with the tics caused by anxiety/anticipation/excitement ? When my daughter has any of the above, she starts ticcing badly. She tics even in happy situations like playing with her best friend and laughing with her about a joke etc. So, good excitement also causes her tics.

How do I address the behavioral part of this issue ?

Thanks,

Nan

Hi Nan

we found what I call the "excitability" tics to be less triggered when we had introduced the supplement plan

magnesium is very calming, both as supplemental form and also as epsom salts baths

we also use Bach's rescue remedy but you should first check possible allergies to it's flower ingredients

Hi all,

We just started to see tic symptoms on my 4 YO daughter, about 2 weeks. At first, we thought she was doing this intentionally. It was a few days ago, I began researching and found more info on tics. So we have begun to log the time of the tics and trying to figure out what may have triggered her tics. We noticed two key possible triggers, but I need your help. So far her tics seem to happen at night after dinner, when she watches cartoon programs and bed time story. She's going to pre-K, so we don't really know if tics occur during school time. However on weekends, we haven't noticed tics during daytime. Can anyone chime in if you have similar experience with your love ones?
