Autoantibodies panel from mayo clinic?

Recommended Posts

from what I know about encephalities, I don't see how antibody panel can tell you if you have it

brain scan is usually used but they are not conclusive

panel can tell you about the causes of the encephalities If I remember correctly, your symptoms may fit the encephalities diagnosis

i would say this is encouraging that dr wants to check autoantibodies, can't hurt, right? except for the needle, of course

good luck

That is good. It is probably NMDA, GAD, VGKC, maybe some others.

How about lupus or anti-phospholipid antibodies?

My daughter has antiphospholipid syndrome.

AEALLIANCE. ORG. Might have lots of information for you, Michel12.

Yes those antibodies are on the panel and I believe we are going to do csf and blood. I have had alot of antiboides tested like lupus and anti cardio. I belive my anti cardio was a little high but the other tests that supplement it werent and the doctor said to not worry about it. Does it even really matter if they find something else? I know it will help insurance pay for all my treatment but are there any other actual autoimmune encpehlitis that cause ocd and dont have seizures?
