searching_for_help Posted June 1, 2014 Report Share Posted June 1, 2014 Dd is on 400mg a day of Doxycycline for MycoP. Has anyone else experienced weight LOSS on this drug? She's on lots of stuff, but her weight has been dropping since we started this and several other things. She's not eating any differently, and although anorexic, I'm beginning to think it's one of her meds and NOT ED behaviors. She started Valacyclovir around the same time, but I don't think that would cause weight loss. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nicklemama Posted June 2, 2014 Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 I took doxy for 2 months. I did not lose weight. I can say it can cause stomach upset. It needs to be taken with food. It also causes very intense sun sensitivity. Be careful. I am off it for the summer for this very reason. I'm now on minocycline. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
