pasquale61 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 DS just finished 30 days of Biaxin and Augmentin for high strep titers. Will continue a maintenance dose of Biaxin. Dr now wants to do 10 days of anti-viral to treat Coxsackie. Is Coxsackie a known trigger. I guess that would have to do with high IGM numbers? Anyone have any experience with Coxsackies issues? I was just put on an antiviral for shingles, (same as my DS for HHV-6) and had more energy and clarity then when I am not sick! I think it is worth a try. pasquale61 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2014 Dr wants DS on a 10 day course of Valtrex along with maintenance dose of Biaxin. Also wants to continue probiotic. Tics still there after almost 30 days of ABX. I was so hopeful it would work. Maybe the coxsackie is the problem. Starting Valtrex in a few days.
