trintiybella Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 Is IVIG ever used for getting rid of bartonella????
sf_mom Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) IVIG will not fully treat Bartonella. It 'might' help support the immune system to fight it a little better but you really need long term combo'd antibiotics. IVIG can be a mixed bag for those that suffer from chronic infections. It can help temporarily, it can have no effect, it can cause an intense herx and the individual can appear worse for weeks. You need to be on the right combo of antibiotics and methylation/detox should be address to also support any die off of toxins. Edited June 22, 2013 by SF Mom
GraceUnderPressure Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 My son's predominant problem seems to stem from bartonella though we did not know that at the time we tried IVIG. The first time we had almost a week of more than 50% improvement of his tics, but it faded quickly & our 2nd IVIG did nothing.
