As you may know, Mepron/Melarone are preferred anti-malarial and we use them along with herbs specifically for Babesia. If you suspect Babesia I highly recommend readying Dr. Schaller's 2009 update to Babesia Treatment. It is available on-line. It is a lot of information to take in and had to read it several times.
