ZaxMom Posted March 9, 2013 Report Share Posted March 9, 2013 Help! My ds8 still has a headache and lowgrade fever 11 days after IVIG treatment. He was pre-medicated with Advil, Benadryl and Solumedrol. We hydrated before and continue to do so. He weighs 63 lbs and I make him drink five 16.9 oz bottles of water each day. Am also giving him Tylenol and Advil daily. Can't get Dr. to call back. How long should this last? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kimballot Posted March 10, 2013 Report Share Posted March 10, 2013 I don't know why doc is not calling back. I would keep trying if I were you. Fever is a concern to me - especially if you are medicating around the clock with ibuprofen and tylenol. I would recommend continuing benadryl around the clock if doc says it is OK. Keep hydrated. Don't know if it's the Dr or the staff. He does seem to do better headache wise when I really keep at least 5 bottles of water in him a day.
