Diagnosis in Corinth girl with lyme

Please forgive me if this is already been posted on here. I just may have missed this info, but perhaps not. If not, I just caught a news story on the one Corinth girl with lyme disease. On a New station 13. I caught it on a Holistic News site, which did a worthy job ripping into the NYT's article that just came out.

CorinthDad or LeRoyMom, if you know Lori, please suggest that she really educate herself about lyme. I have respect for Dr T when it comes to Pandas but there are other doctors who have more experience in treating lyme. Lori makes reference to treatment in terms of months. But she suspects she may have had this for years. If that's the case, treatment could extend well beyond a few months. As this whole story illustrates, you really need to be with the right doctor for the right illness - in her case, an experienced LLMD who has knowledge of neurological lyme.

Yes, I heard they are seeing a Lyme doc...I don't think they are relying on Dr. T. (alone) to treat the Lyme.

Starting a year ago, 20 teenagers from the areas around LeRoy and Corinth, New York have been suffering a sudden onset of unexplained seizures, blackouts, motor problems and difficulty breathing. According to Olmsted and Blaxill the latest victim, a Corinth 9th grader, collapsed into unconsciousness a week ago. Like the other victims, she and her family were told her disorder is psychological rather than medical. The girl’s mother, Shannon Matuszak, a psychiatric nurse, says her daughter is on antibiotics and staying home, missing the classes and sports she enjoys. The girl is still suffering three to four seizures a day.
