I hope these parents find an answer. I feel their pain. Been there. We were told it was "stress" and were referred and referred and referred. Still don't have an answer for the "seizures". These girls because they are older (know their bodies and can express themselves) will have a better chance of getting treatment then the younger kids (DS was 7). The doctor's can't use the "dumb parents and smart children" excuse.

Wasn't pandas defined to describe a large(?) outbreak of similar problems in the 1990's?

http://wnyt.com/article/stories/S2468945.shtml?cat=300

This article says there are 17 teens affected now, one of them does not even live in Leroy (she lives in Corinth), but traveled to Leroy last year.

From article:

One of those girls is 17-year old Lori Brownell, who had been a top scholar athlete, excelling in both softball and field hockey, before her symptoms began showing last year.

Lori has been posting regular YouTube videos intent on giving the disease the attention she believes it deserves so that she can help others learn to cope with it.

It just so happens Lori traveled through LeRoy last year with her softball team. And perhaps by coincidence, one of her teammates, Alycia Nicholson, is now also experiencing Tourette's symptoms that include twitching, convulsions, and joint pain.

Perhaps they heard the terror alert code when they were in Leroy last summer and it has been stressing them out ever since!

I sure hope Dr. T is aware of the situation in Corinth.

Lori who is documenting the course of her illness comments ... Now there is a new individual in our town who started having tourettes, a very reputable adult female 1/27

Just a heads up, the new slideshow is so hard to watch :(
