deseret biologicals borrelia series therapy

Recommended Posts

I am half way into the first month of my homeopathic treatment. It's totally knocking me down. Has anyone else tried this stuff?

I have leg aches, headaches, ringing in my ears, muscle pain, shooting pains, fatigue, rib muscle twitches. It's obviously herxing. But I'm still getting up to speed on homeopathy and whether or not I think it will work. My natural doc really believes in this stuff and says it's cured his lyme patients.

Very interested to hear how your progress goes!

(and very sorry to hear about the herxing-ugh- I can relate.)

We have homeopathic remedies here for detoxing, but part of me is still

'old school' and would freak at the notion of putting diluted/or the essance of borrelia in my body...

although as time goes on with this journey, my mind is opening up.

Hang in there!

I know! It kind of freaked me out too... I will let you guys know how it goes. My new doc is very serious about his belief that this stuff works. He says I can start the girls on it any time I'm ready. I'll probably try dd10 first as she is more mature and can probably handle the herx better. maybe next week we'll give it a try. I'm very worried about starting the kids.

The thing I'm confused about is if it does help us and we feel better, how would we know when to stop. How do you know if it's really gone? Doc says kinesology and testing for no antibiodies. Does that mean a negative igenex test?

Suzan, I accidentally stumbled upon your post. It has taken some effort, but I finally got registered to post on this site and found my way to this page to post a reply.

The Herx reaction is rough, but you only get that if there is die-off from the Lyme. Be encouraged that you are making progress. I have been sick with Lyme for 15 years now. I was told there was nothing wrong with me, it was all in my head, and repeatedly misdiagnosed before I found my naturopathic doctor. He has become a Lyme specialist through his study and his experience with diagnosing and treating Lyme patients. He has had me detox-ing about nine different ways for the past 16 months. I have gone through 8 boxes of the Deseret Biologicals Borrelia 10M Series Therapy, (I call it my hemlock; trying to keep my sense of humore) as well as one box of the Bartonella series. I have made it from being absolutely miserable and sleeping about 20 hours a day to actually feeling pretty good and sleeping around 9 or 10 hours a day. Those hours of sleep are just not exactly the hours of the day that I would prefer to be sleeping ... my adrenals are still off-balance, so I typically sleep from around midnight or 1:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. I've learned to just accept it and sleep when my body tells me I need the rest. In addition to the Borrelia series, my doctor has me do several other things. The most helpful has been the coffee enemas, disgusting though they may be. Soaking in a tub of water with a cup of Epsom salts and a half cup of baking soda every night has helped; add a few drops of lavendar oil to the water to help you relax. Actually, the first thing he had me do was a 28-day detox to cleanse the liver: http://www.amazon.com/Metagenics-UltraClear-Natural-Health-Beauty/dp/B004GLEU3M/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1362109189&sr=8-8&keywords=Metagenics+Ultra+Clear He also has me on a supplement called ATP Fuel to help body cells rebuild: https://www.researchednutritionals.com/store/item.cfm?code=CRN130 Also, a product called Ora Adren 80 to boost the adrenals, and one called Candidex to kill the candida. Lyme feeds on candida, which feeds on sugars (even fruit sugars) and carbohydrates like rice so be careful about what you eat. Lyme affects every part of the body - wherever it can lodge itself in the body. Some people have brain flashes, a heartbeat flip-flop feeling, digestion issues, "fibromyalgia" (muscle pain), neuropathy, toenail fungus, athlete's foot, difficulty concentrating, memory loss, and some people have lost the ability to walk and/or talk. (Have you seen "Under Our Skin"?) I think most Lyme victims have depression and anxiety, which results in simply being placed on mood altering drugs and then, for the most part, ignored. You may find encouragement by joining one of the Facebook Lyme groups. Lyme is terrible, but you CAN work you way back to a normal life. Just remember what a friend of mine told me: Sometimes, you have to feel worse before you can feel better. You WILL get there, if you don't give up!

Thank you Nightengale! Great information and I really like to hear the experiences of others. I did very well on the lyme series and I just started the bartonella series. My 11 yr old daughter has been doing the bartonella treatment for a while now and although the herxing was bad, she's improving. I have not noticed much with my bartonella treatment (I'm 3 vials in) except for a wicked cold. I think I have bartonella but not sure.

I see the original post was from one year ago. Are you still using Deseret and do you think it is helping? Has a change in protocol produced your herx?

I have found a naturopath that carries this series, but prefers to use her own. In fact, after paying $300 for 2 biomeridian sessions and the only recommendation was to start slowly by replacing the homeopathic lymph drain our LLMD uses, with the one the naturopath manufactures and sells to her patients, I left, thinking it too much of a conflict of interest. I don't know if I can wrap my head around the whole idea of german biological/energy medicine.

My daughters and I initially were taking the lyme series (started a year ago) and we had great herxes from it and were much improved. Our doc (not a LLMD but a natural doc who also treated lyme) was quick to say we were cured so we continued to take it periodically on our own. Then it became apparent that dd11 had bartonella too so she started taking the bartonella series with intense herxes as well. I just started taking the bartonella this month after realizing I most likely had it as well.

My plan is to alternate every so often (not sure how often yet) between the lyme series and bartonella. I really believe it's helping us get better. Soon I will also introduce the rife machine and work with the two together.

Hi All-

This post is years old, so perhaps no one will be reading...I am particularly interested in your post, Nightingale. As a long term Lyme sufferer, who has found help only through alternative protocols, your practitioner sounds so much more helpful than most. Who is he or she? Can you post their contact information?

FYI to everyone, the most help I have gotten from any treatment I have tried is frequency remedies by a group you can deal with online called Healers Who Share. The second most helpful is a type of manual frequency treatment called Integrated Manual Therapy, otherwise known as IMT. If you do a search on them, their main office , IMT Wellness Center, is in Connecticut and was developed by Sharon and Thomas Giammatteo (so you will know you have found the right group). They have practitioners all over the country.

Best of luck to everyone - I have been slowly getting better over the years...I still believe it is possible to become completely better!

Hi, Sydney!

Here is an article quickly for us all to look at.

http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/614451/Disease-ticks-discovered-unaffected-antibiotics

I know Healers Who Share. They have done wonders but my son needed to buy a year and half's worth to stabilize and it didn't seem practical. The whole house had to take the waters for gut problems for a while as part of the deal.

Glad you believe you can get better. You should definitely find someone with a Rife machine, as Suzan notes. That could be very helpful if you do it every day without fail for a few weeks. It reversed my son's sensory OCD by 75 %.

Good luck!
