While on prednisone we increase potassium intake by snacking throughout the day on: oj, oranges, cantaloupe, bananas, and raiisins. I also supplement calcium. adkmom Posted December 13, 2011 Report Share Posted December 13, 2011 We frequently find any time a change in meds or dosage, his cheeks turn bright red.
