mdmom Posted June 1, 2011 Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 My children DS13 and DD11 started very aggressive Lyme treatment 1 month ago. They will start Tindamax next week for the first time. Doctor prescribed 500 mg twice a day for 7 days. Anyone used Tindamax for 7 days straight? NancyD Posted June 1, 2011 Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 Yes, my DD15 initially started taking 500mg bid daily for about a month but it was just too much for her (horrible diarrhea and other herxing) so our doctor cut her back to 3 days/week bid. That was SO MUCH BETTER! After 6 months we tried taking her off it but she went downhill so we put her back on it. Anyone used Tindamax for 7 days straight? MichaelTampa Posted June 1, 2011 Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 At the beginning of my lyme treatment, I took daily IV abx with Tindamax daily for 14 days and then off for 14 days (taking Alinia instead) and then repeat (14 days of Tindamax again, etc.).
