Have Rx for Zithro, Shall I start it before blood draw?

Hi

New member here.

Son (12) has dx of asd.

Has blinking tic and recent new tic (head jerk/nod) that

coincided with a sore throat.

DAN doctor wrote Rx for zithro 500mg x 30 days,

and labs (CBC, CMP, ASO, AntiDNAse AB, and to have

Dr. Cunningham do her testing as well).

Doctor didn't give any guidance re: whether Dr. C

is still doing the CaM II Kinase testing.

 

1. Does Dr. C still do the testing?

2. Will starting zithro affect any of the numbers on the above labs?

3. Would starting zithro affect CaM II Kinase levels at all?

 

Note: Just heard from Buster on above.

I don't think Dr.C's lab is currently accepting blood samples.

I think if you get the labs w/in a week or so of starting the zith it will not make much of a difference.
