thereishope
I thinking any form of "checking" when it's pretty constant and anxiety at the unability to do it would fall under OCD. There is reassurance OCD in you explanation too. Are you familiar with BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder)? This is an OCD spectrum disorder. A simple blemish or mark is seen is majorly worse than what it is. Say, you have a scratch, that person may see it as being so sever that it appears disfiguring to them. Granted, there are different levels and severity of the disorder, but it may be something ot look up. I have a BDD article sitting here waiting for me to read. I'll try to move taht to a priority to see if it's worth passing along.
