pixiesmommy Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I just remembered that last winter I used individually packaged hand-wipes in Pixie's lunch so that she could clean her hands in the event they aren't allowed to go wash them first. I was using Sani-hands and thought that at one time they were alcohol free, but just bought some more (the kids' version- couldn't find the big mega pack like last year of the regular ones) and they have alcohol. She gets eczema on her hands, so I don't want to dry them out further if I can help it. She doesn't have a hand-washing compulsion, by the way, just in case someone is thinking I may be making things worse! Ideas for any botanical/natural ones or alcohol-free ones? I prefer them individually packaged, but I could always use a baggie if I need to. Thanks!
sf_mom Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Clean Well is a great product. Whole Foods carries it but I think its available most places now... http://www.cleanwelltoday.com/#/handsanitizer/
Megs_Mom Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 She doesn't have a hand-washing compulsion, by the way, just in case someone is thinking I may be making things worse! As a mom to a contamination OCD child, I have had to give up most of my own germ issues. It often causes me a giant mental struggle - my need to keep her healthy, and my desire not to add to her latent (at this point) fears. Both sides are so real - sometimes when I see her run her hands on the handrail at the mall, I want to scream out loud! This year, her class' "service project" is helping at a preschool - she will teach a class then assist for another 3 hours. I love the idea, and Meg is thrilled. But I just keep thinking about the germ factory that she is about to enter.... Ask me if I will be sure she takes abx that day....
thereishope Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) How about Wet Ones sensitive skin? They also come in individually wrapped packages. I keep the bigger canister in the car for when we got to the park. Edited October 4, 2010 by Vickie
