We too we on Risperadal.1st 2 weeks was unbelievable,then nothing .Tried upping the dosage still nothing ,lowered the dose to .25(very low) and stayed there for 6 more months.Finally stopped after IVIG.Now were using intunuv(sp).Its the new tenex ((kindof )2mg in the am .Finding it to be ok,Dont beat yourself up.You can try it.I know many people have had great success with risperadal.My son is 16 so I undersstand were your at emotionally with him.15 was the worst !!!Is he training for football?Whats witht he heavy loading? Exaactly! I have asked her about the increased dosage,she said no.I want to write a well informed letter citeing data ,but everything I pull up is from 1999 .I need 2010 info ,data.I think were just going to do the 1.5 and not tell her.I dont know what else to do. Melane

When we saw Dr B danny had anxiety increased in his office.Dr B clearly said to me that he can get rid of that.Is this true?I know he said that.Im hoping he calls this week,Louise said she would ask him to call.I want to ask him some questions before I do the IVIG with him. Melanie

I know this sounds sneeky but If I dont tell Dr J that Im seeing Dr b and get the 1.5 from Dr B and just cancell 2-3 Ivs with Dr J and see how it goes.Is this getting rediculous or what?Whats wrong with me? We just got back from Baltimore inner harbor from a short vacation.He did pretty good no major outbursts except for in the aquarium hes deathly afraid of snakes and they had some and he didnt know where they were and was freaked out the whole time. melanie

I think thats what Im going to do.Have his scheduled 21 day dosage and then in september go to DR B.Although Ill be back at work and he will be at school,my husband will have to do the trip. Unless Dr B can squeezeee us in,hoping he will call this week hes been very busy.

I booked my spot Aug 16 and 17th ,Im not thrilled with those dates because its 2 weeks after a scheduled IV and it means he will miss one (every 21 days).I wanted it around the 6th but hes real busy.I dont know what I want to do ,not sure but scheduled it and Louise said Dr B will call me and I can talk to him. Kristy ..All true.danny gets 1 g from Dr J and Dr K does 1.5gs.Different docs ,different protocols.Danny is 16 and also has aspergers ans ImmuneDeficient,thats why hes approved and gets them often.I have seen Dr B who will do 1.5g.Were thinking about it but not sure,dannys doing great right now.Last week wasnt so good. Its a hard road to navigate,I have never seen Dr K but he has answered all of my emails.I believe most people on the forum trust him. Ask questions and I know theres a video someone posted I cant find it,Ill keep looking Melanie

stopped it on sun,and monday and tuesday and wed were great.Now IM not sure if its the antibiotic or if its the nystatin.I stopped both.He had a horrible month last month.He had another IV Friday so could be thats helping?

Although I can completely understand every freaking thing your going through I cant tell you enough times that someday things will get better...Soon I hope..Your doing all the right things.You may need to try a different MD to get approved by the insurance.Thats what I did .One Md coulndnt get it so I went to ,well 3 others.ghot one to say abcdefg and the insurance company said ok we will cover that. When I saw him it seemed he was going to get the insurance stuff quickly.It will be 2 weeks thursday and I have heard nothing.Dans not doing great.Flipped again today over his ipod.He gets so mad when things dont go perfect,I mean exactly the way things are soposed to.But then hes great for hours , melanie
