  1. We are just back from vacation and my child had a lot of gluten and dairy. A new vocal tic has popped up as a result. We are home now and am trying to reset things w supplements and food. Has anyone had this happen before and if so, how long did it take to get back to baseline. How did you get back to baseline? It’s so upsetting. Things were very mild and stable prior to our vacation.

  2. Thanks Chemar!

This is a great article. Appreciate you forwarding the link. We are doing vitamin d, magnesium glycinate and b6 (p5p form). We are seeing good results. Things are very mild. It’s good to know that NAC could help too (if needed). Thank you!

  3. Thank you Chemar!!

Is there a way to reduce dopamine? An increase in tics while eating is newer, did not happen when tics first started. We are going thru puberty so that increases dopamine as well. Maybe as puberty eventually settles it will lower dopamine enough to offset the dopamine increase from food? Perhaps then eating will get better?

  4. I agree, the positive that he is a more understanding and empathetic person is wonderful!

For the supplements he took was it due to bloodwork showing deficiency? We had some blood work done recently and some deficiencies popped up. We are now working to increase those thru supplements and it seems it is helping. Can that really be happening? Wondering if you saw such a thing.
