Hello I'm Mum to a young boy of 9 soon to be 10.

My son started grunting when he was about 5 but I wasn't aware that it was TICS.

I had one visit to neurologist last year when the tics developed into head rolling and neck jerks and grimacing , I was totally devastated but at that time my son wasn't as bothered as I was about it. The neurologist said it was TICS after I showed him a series of videos showing my son actually ticking. I was offered drugs I refused and was told that he would grow out of it hopefully.

well it's come back again this time even more viciously.

My poor lad is old enough now to realise he hates it.  I'm about to see the neurologist again next month and have decided I would like my son tested for allergies .

Im currently reading natural therapies for tics and Tourette's and hoping I can help my poor boy to overcome this horrific illness.
