Hi!
I am new here. I came across your forum last night while searching ways to calm tics naturally. I haven't officially been diagnosed with anything as of yet, but my tics have been getting worse as the days go on. I only have motor tics; nothing vocal, that I am aware of anyway. It started out as eye movements when I was younger, and progressed as the years went on. Sometimes, they would just go away totally for a long period of time. Lately, though, they have gotten so bad, my muscles hurt at the end of the day. I currently have shoulder and arm tics as well as upper body random movements (if that makes sense). I talked to my doctor about it all, and the only thing she came up with was sleep apnea. I don't believe that at all, so I am headed for a second opinion. I have been looking for some easement in the meantime.
I am thinking of trying out Natural Calm since so many seem to have positive results with it. I used to drink Crystal Light iced tea like crazy, but read on here that the aspartame isn't good for tics. Today I stopped drinking that and have been drinking a lot more water. I also like the idea of Epsom salts for my feet. Despite the fact that it might help with tics, I love the idea of pampering myself a little. So, my question to you all is--- I noticed there are so many versions of Natural Calm, which one should I try? Is one better than another one? How about the flavor? I saw one with calcium, some regular ones, powder ones, smaller bottles as well as larger bottles. I am so new to all of this, I just don't know what to do. I think the Natural Calm would be best compared to magnesium pills, but I am not sure about that either. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!!
