  1. Hello All, I have a question for all that might have any experience with vaccines. My daughter, 14 yo has tics since the age of 9. She is up to date with her vaccines but now is the time for her booster Tdap vaccine and HPV. After reading controversial articles and evidence for HPV vaccines, we decided to postpone the HPV vaccination for at least 2-3 years. However, I am hesitant what to do with the booster Tdap vacine. In the official Boostrix documentation, in the "Precaution Section" there is this clause: BEFORE you use BOOSTRIX® talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:  you or your child have a family history of convulsions.  your child is suffering from neurological disorders, including infantile spasms, uncontrolled epilepsy or progressive encephalopathy (disease of brain). On one side, I would like my child to have proper immunization, however on the other hand the clause above made me very hesitant. Please share any experiences you might have with this vaccine. Thank you & Best Regards, Amy
  2. Hi, Unfortunately I do not have anything else to recommend. One thing I keep a close eye on is the CBIT. We haven't tried it for my daughter so I do not have a first hand experience to share, but I have read a lot about it and to me it sounds promising. It is recomended for children older than 10 years though. I beleive user "mythree" posted about her daughter's positive experience with this type of treatment last year. We have also introduced Turmeric very recently, a couple of days ago. I am still not sure if it has any positive effects. Regards, Amy
  3. Hello, Here is our experience. My daughter (12) got her braces two weeks ago. Her teeth are actually nicely positioned, however she has an overbite. After a lot of debating, we decided to correct the overbite because we read some stories that correcting the overbite might actually help the tics...I am not sure if this is true, but we decided to take a chance. We are ready to take them out immediately if we notice ANY negative effects on the tics (although this may be easier said than done). So far, other than the pain/discomfort she felt the first couple of days, we do not notice any change in the intensity or frequency of her tics. I am keeping my fingers crossed...I am still worried if there will be any negative effects when the teeth actually start moving... Good Luck! Regards, Amy
  4. Hello, We use Progressive Chewable Multi for Kids, thanks to the recommendations of a member of this forum. We haven't seen a dramatic reduction in tics, however I still beleive it helps some. To what I remember in the past, many members of this form reported good results using the Kirkman Labs, Spectrum Complete II. Hope this helps. Regards, Amy
