If you consume dairy, the source of milk can make a big difference to your health. Of course, some people can’t tolerate casein—the main protein in cow’s milk—or lactose, the main sugar in the milk. A new study in the British Journal of Nutrition showed that when cream was consumed from cows that were pasture-fed, it led to a stronger intestinal barrier and improved metabolic outcome than when cream from standard dairy cows was consumed.
